The Windows Platform team here at Puppet has been working hard on updating our key Windows modules. Customers who use our Puppet Supported SQL Server module will be happy to know that we added support for SQL Server 2016. We also added support for internationalization and the new Puppet 5 platform. You can see all of the updates here.

We also made updates to our supported IIS and ACL modules. Both now support Puppet 5. Additionally:

  • IIS 4.1 includes bug fixes based on customer feedback. See the changelog for more details.
  • ACL 2.0.1 allows you to manage accounts that are in the All Application Packages authority.

Stay tuned as we have a lot more module updates in the works. We’re also hiring a product manager for the Windows Platform team to help our Windows customers become more powerful and productive through automation. Interested applicants, please do not hesitate to apply!

As always, we welcome your feedback and please reach out if any questions arise.
