Speakers share what excites them most about Puppetize PDX
What excites our speakers most about Puppetize PDX 2019?
Here’s what they said:
Nick Maludy (Encore Technologies)
"I'm pumped to learn about other people’s problems and how they're using the Puppet tools to solve them. Also looking forward to participating in the Hackathon* on Tuesday hopefully we can spark some ideas or jump start a project!"
*The pre-conference Hackathon is on Tuesday 8 October from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Whether you're interested in contributing to Puppet, or already a Puppet contributor, join us at Puppet headquarters for a day of hacking! Afterward, we’ll head over to the Puppetize PDX welcome reception that officially kicks off the conference. Hackathon seats are limited and available to registered Puppetize PDX attendees only. Learn more on the agenda.
Michael Stahnke (CircleCI)
“I’m looking forward to catching up with friends made over the years from this community, and probably making some new ones.”
Lucy Wyman (Puppet)
“I mean this is probably kind of cheating since I work on Bolt / at Puppet, but I'm super excited to meet Bolt users and contributors to hear more about how they're using Bolt, what we can do to make their jobs easier, etc.”
Craig Watson (ForgeRock)
“Speaking at Puppetize is a career highlight for me having been an attendee in 2014, 2016 and 2018, and I’m also excited to meet community members and hear war stories on cloud adoption with Puppet, including what didn’t work!”
Trevor Vaughan (Onyx Point, Inc)
“I'm looking forward to talking to people about compliance at scale with puppet, test automation, and getting new back ends added to Bolt.”
Melissa Casburn (Puppet)
“I’m looking forward to learning about our community members’ adventures in cloud native and continuous deployment.”
Martin Alfke (Example 42)
“Looking forward to meeting community in person, chatting about existing and new stuff we do (tinypuppet, psick) and asking for feedback. Additionally, we are going to show a new Puppet related tool from example42 at our booth in the exhibitor hall.”
Dylan Ratcliffe (Puppet)
“I’m looking forward to seeing all of the community members that I never get to see and finding out what cool stuff we’ve all been building since we last met.”
Tony Green (@Katana 1)
“I'm looking forward to being able to give (consensual) hugs to the people who've helped me out or inspired me.”
We hope to see you in October!
