Puppetize Live 2018 registration and call for proposals are open
One persistent bit of PuppetConf feedback we’ve received over the years is to globalize our annual event. So, that’s what we did: PuppetConf is now Puppetize Live, a 24-hour global event spanning three cities.
It’s an effort to experiment with something new: to share DevOps, cloud, containers, and software automation stories from organizations and stellar individuals from around the world on our global stage.
We can’t have an amazing event without amazing speakers. We’re excited to announce that the call for proposals is officially open. Sign up today.
What’s Puppetize Live?
We’re inviting folks to join us in three regions around the world, as well as tuning in digitally via our live stream. Our event will span three cities across the world: San Francisco, Sydney in the Asia-Pacific region, and will end in Amsterdam.
The event begins on 9 October in San Francisco and continues into Sydney starting on 10 October and ending in Amsterdam that same day. At each location there will be talks from the brightest minds in cloud, containers, DevOps, and software automation. Attendees can access training, demos, and meet and greet with the community and Puppet team across the world.
Learn more about the event on our main page.
CFP open: submit your talk ideas for Puppetize Live
The call for proposals for Puppetize Live 2018 is now open, and we want to hear from you! We’re particularly interested in your talk ideas on:
Scaling DevOps and automation success: How have you scaled automation across your enterprise? For example, how have you extended DevOps practices to security and networking teams, or expanded automation across multiple platforms and services? What challenges did you face along the way and what were some positive business outcomes?
Cloud management and migration: How did you use Puppet’s product portfolio to manage cloud resources and accelerate migration to the cloud? How did you approach your cloud migration strategy and what lessons can you share to help others migrate more successfully?
Application and container delivery: How are you adopting continuous delivery and automating software releases for your traditional and container-based applications? What tools and processes have you adopted for container-based application delivery and how have you had to shift your mindset?
We're focusing on engaging, 25-minute talks that get to the heart of the issue. The talks at the in-person events will be live-streamed to thousands of additional viewers, and we're also looking for livestream-exclusive 5- or 10-minute lighting-style talks.
Puppetize Live is built to reach our global community, and our speakers are what makes the event so impactful.
Talk submissions are due by 30 July 2018. Submit your proposal today.
Diversity scholarships available
Puppet actively works to increase diversity within our company, our community and our industry. We're continuing our tradition of offering a limited number of travel scholarships for accepted Puppetize Live speakers who are underrepresented in tech and require financial support to participate. We want to see your talk proposals!
We're looking forward to seeing folks in person and online for Puppetize Live in October!
