Puppet welcomes new leaders from HashiCorp and Amazon
2020 was a year unlike any other, filled with more challenges than we ever imagined possible. Within those challenges were opportunities that validated what we at Puppet knew all along: infrastructure automation is absolutely critical to business success.
As we continue to accelerate Puppet’s market impact, we are making strategic additions and promotions within the Puppet family: Jaime Segura has joined to lead our business development and alliances strategy while Carol Wilder has been promoted to Vice President of Product. Both Jaime and Carol are transformative leaders with deep industry expertise and skill sets vital to expanding Puppet’s ecosystem and platform capabilities.
Jaime Segura joins us from HashiCorp, where he served as the senior director of Global Strategic Alliances and Channels, building out key partnerships across multi-cloud environments. Jaime’s extensive experience in enterprise cloud computing -- from his time at ServiceNow, HashiCorp, Canonical, Intel, HP and others -- will enable Puppet to marry our business and technical acumen in a new and collaborative way. Jaime will provide a laser focus on bringing our customers the technical integrations they need to accelerate cloud adoption and make their infrastructure environments more self-actioning and self-healing.
Jaime told me: “Puppet has deep automation DNA -- it’s a brand for which the enterprise space has immense respect. As Puppet goes through this evolution, from a single-product company to a comprehensive platform on the road to IPO, there is an opportunity for us to further extend our ecosystem solutions and relationships on behalf of our customers. The need for automation has only grown more critical and I look forward to heading up the partnership efforts to accelerate and further empower enterprises on their cloud journeys.”
Carol Wilder joined us in September 2020 and quickly became a key impact player within the Puppet family. Carol is a vibrant IT leader with decades of experience, helping the likes of Intel and Amazon utilize technology to stabilize investments, train engineers, and gain customer trust. Carol has a proven track record of creating successful platforms from the ground up, having led the customer experience for services and ecosystem around Amazon Alexa. With Carol’s tenacious focus on fast and easy customer experiences, she is uniquely equipped to amplify the power of the Puppet platform.
When asked “why Puppet?” Carol said: “Passionate and diverse employees, a really rich market, and the years of investment that Puppet has poured into its products and services. It’s about helping our customers effectively leverage Puppet’s new platform approach and solution capabilities. I look forward to creating this broader platform impact alongside Puppet’s strong leaders.”
