I had a lovely time at Puppet Camp London on November 18. It was full of great talks that helped people fill in the gaps in their Puppet knowledge! If you missed it, don't worry, we have presentation materials and videos for your reading and viewing pleasure.

After morning tea, Luke Kanies, Puppet Labs CEO, kicked off the day with a Puppet Keynote. He talked about the industry as a whole, Puppet's role, and the many technologies that are part of the Puppet ecosystem. All of this was discussed with a focus on how everything fits together.

We owe a huge thank you to Daniele Sluijters from Nedap, who did his Puppetboard talk early when we had a bit of an issue with lunch arriving later than scheduled. I also want to thank Sam Bashton of Bashton Ltd. for agreeing to give a talk about "Dev to Delivery with Puppet, Vagrant and AWS" on almost no notice when we had a last minute speaker cancellation. Bonus points for talking about opsvelopment!

James Fryman from GitHub always delivers engaging and interesting talks, and his "Data Driven Infrastructure" talk was no exception. Tom Doran from Yelp did a great job explaining why and how to use containers in his "Taking Control of Chaos With Docker and Puppet" talk. I also heard one of the best explanations of orchestration during Pieter Loubser's "Introduction to Orchestration with MCollective".

David Mytton from Server Density talked about "Puppet at the Centre of Everything." Marcin Piebiak from Linux Polska gave a very interactive talk focused on questions he sees (along with some answers) in his "Theory vs. Practice in Large Enterprises" talk. "Building on Puppet and Puppet Forge" was the topic from Pedro Pessoa of Server Density. We ended the day with a Puppet demo from Nick Barringer before adjourning to a local pub for the after party.

Overall, it was a great day, and I had a lot of great conversations with the Puppet community in and around London.

If you want to learn more, we're offering a $200 discount on the Puppet Fundamentals Training on January 28 - 30 in London. Email heidi@puppetlabs.com to get the discount code.

We also have several upcoming Puppet Camps that are still accepting talk proposals if you are interested in speaking!
