Announcing Puppetize PDX speakers, sessions, and more!
Join us for our annual user conference, Puppetize PDX back in our hometown of Portland on 9-10 October (Plus, optional hackathon or Bolt Workshop the day prior.) What’s PDX, you ask? It’s Portland’s airport code and the unofficial nickname for the land of Blue Star Donuts and the world’s largest independently owned bookstore.
Also, don’t miss out! Save $50 by registering before 17 Sept.
We heard your feedback
Based on all the great attendee feedback from last year's conference, dubbed Puppetize Live, this year's event will be a two-day, multi-track conference plus a day of pre-conference community events and a hallway track that lets you trade stickers along with tips on Hiera or Bolt.
What you can expect this year
Over the years, Puppet has grappled with and solved many of the hard problems related to platform abstraction and automation. Now we're applying those lessons to the infrastructure of the future. You'll hear all about our latest technologies, like Lyra, our new open source workflow engine for provisioning and managing cloud-native infrastructure.
In addition to the sessions on everything from Bolt to how learning how DevOps teams wrangle enterprise-scale configuration management, we’ve added some optional pre-conference activities.
Want to get hands-on with Bolt? In this half-day workshop, we'll start with the basics—running bolt commands, building an inventory file, running scripts, and turning those scripts into tasks. Then we'll put it all together and write a task plan. Learn more here.
Whether you're interested in contributing to Puppet, or already a Puppet contributor, the hands-on Puppet Hackathon is a great way to engage with the Puppet team, contributors and users. Join us to level up your skills or to share your ideas with us. We'd love to have you. Learn more here.
We’re hosting “Getting Started with Puppet” for people who are newer to Puppet, and “Puppet Practitioner” for more advanced users. Learn more here.
We’re also doubling down on the community developer experience. We're building and refining tools—Litmus, PDK, Resource API, etc.—and processes that make it easier for you to create magic with Puppet. And with Bolt, we're making the onramp to using Puppet technologies even easier.
Seats are limited and only available to Puppetize PDX attendees, so register now to secure your spot.
Who to expect
First and foremost, Puppetize PDX is an event for the broader community of Puppet users, like you! Put a face to the Slack handle or GitHub username. Thank a Vox Pupuli member for helping marshal your pull request through. Talk face-to-face with your peers or a Puppet engineer about the gnarly problems we're all wrestling with. But most importantly, collaborate with others in the community.
Here’s a sneak peek at our lineup
On-stage, we'll have a mix of community members sharing their stories and wisdom and Puppet folks showing you the latest. For example, we can't wait for you to hear from:
