General FAQ

What is Puppetize PDX?

Puppetize PDX is our annual user conference that brings together the broader Puppet community — users of any of our products (Bolt, Open Source Puppet, Puppet Enterprise, Puppet Discovery, and Puppet Pipelines), contributors and ecosystem partners — to share knowledge, network and have fun.

Who should attend Puppetize PDX?

Puppetize PDX is for anyone who uses or contributes to any of our products  — Bolt, Open Source Puppet, Puppet Enterprise, Puppet Discovery, and Puppet Pipelines — as well as the folks who manage those teams.

How is Puppetize PDX different from Puppetize Live last year?

We experimented with a new format last year with three events in three cities over 24-hours with a continuous live stream of content. We got a lot of great feedback on the content but people wanted more content and most importantly, more time with their peers. Based on that feedback, Puppetize PDX will be a two-day event with three tracks of awesome content. We’re also holding a Contributor Summit in Budapest, Hungary on 4-5 June which will be a two-day event with a single track of content.

What kind of content can we expect at Puppetize PDX?

Puppetize PDX is a two-day multi-track event. Because the event is geared towards users of our products, you can expect a mix of technical talks from people who are doing cool things with our products, fun cultural talks, and demos of our latest product innovations. We’re looking for talks on the following topics but we also welcome other ideas:

  • Scaling DevOps practices

  • Hybrid cloud deployments

  • Cloud-native application delivery

  • Ensuring security and compliance policies at scale

  • Modernizing legacy infrastructure and applications

If you’d like to submit a talk, you can do so here.

Will you bring back the PuppetConf format in the future?

While we don’t know exactly what the format will be in the future, we can say with certainty that we’ll continue to evolve our user event to meet your needs. We welcome your feedback on what’s working and what’s not working. Please let us know what you’d like to see more of by emailing us at [email protected].

Will the event be live-streamed?
