Puppet, the standard for automating the delivery and operation of the software that powers everything around us, today announced the appointment of Tim Zonca as vice president of worldwide marketing and Tanya Webb as senior manager of diversity and inclusion. Previously the head of product marketing at Puppet, Tim now leads global marketing, driving market leadership, business development, global awareness and strategic communications. Tanya has been promoted from her talent management role to a newly created position built to support the company’s culture, which values diversity and inclusiveness.
“As Puppet expands, we are investing to ensure that diversity, inclusion and leadership are aligned to support our customers’ DevOps, automation and digital transformation journeys,” said Sanjay Mirchandani, CEO of Puppet. “Tim’s expert leadership combined with Tanya’s ability to cultivate an inclusive workplace will help fuel our global growth.”
Since joining Puppet in 2014, Tim has championed product marketing, helping the company’s customers, community and the market understand Puppet’s fresh approach to our future. As he transitions into his new position, Tim brings more than 10 years of experience from prior roles spanning across marketing, product innovation and engineering. As vice president of worldwide marketing, he will drive long-term strategic marketing decisions to ensure Puppet’s continued market expansion, global brand awareness and industry-wide leadership.
“Puppet not only invented infrastructure as code, it has defined modern automation and continues to drive market leadership and global awareness,” said Zonca. “As a team, we're helping thousands of companies manage today’s complex IT environments and enabling them to stay strides ahead of the challenges to come. I’m looking forward to helping the company accelerate global traction while continuing to support our core community.”
With more than 12 years experience in people management, Tanya will team with employees from across the organization to ensure that Puppet is integrating diversity, equity and inclusion in every area of the business, educating and enabling all employees to better build these critical elements into everyday workflows and deepening employee engagement as a result. Since joining Puppet in 2012, she has played an integral role in building Puppet’s team from around 100 people to more than 500 employees globally. In her new role, Tanya will cultivate and scale Puppet’s diversity strategy to address the ever changing shape of the business and ensure Puppet continues to be a positive and inclusive workplace for all.
“Puppet is a place where our employees feel supported and valued as contributors to the success of the company,” said Webb. “I am looking forward to helping Puppet grow as a team of people from diverse backgrounds, perspectives and experiences and to strengthening our philanthropic and community efforts to support underrepresented groups in the tech industry.”
