Senior Sales Compensation Analyst

Hi, I’m CJ Destramp, Manager of Sales Operations at Puppet,

I’m looking for a Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst to join our team to support all elements of sales compensation at Puppet including designing, executing, tracking and maintaining Puppet’s sales compensation plans and commissions.

This role is a key part of our Revenue Ops and Sales organizations. In this role, you will partner with Sales leadership, Sales Operations, HR, and Finance in order to ensure that the Puppet incentive commission plans are implemented correctly and commissions are paid accurately and timely. This role is critical in ensuring successful execution of our sales incentive strategies and operations along with compliance with corporate policies and processes. 

Meaningful work you’ll contribute 

  • Analyze and oversee the setup, processing, and analysis of commission calculations to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all aspects of the Sales Commission process
  • Administer monthly meetings with Sales and Finance leadership to provide visibility to plan performance, trends, and commissions forecast.
  • Oversee annual audit deliverables related to commission payouts and process testing
  • Calculate, audit and submit monthly commission, SPIF and MBO payments
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity & improvement within the compensation model and commissions process
  • Ensure commission and attainment results are in alignment with all aspects of the compensation plans and bonus programs
  • Ad-hoc modeling and analysis as requested

Valuable experiences and skills you’ll bring to Puppet 

  • 5+ years experience working in Sales Compensation in enterprise software and/or high-tech industry
  • Proficient in Excel 
  • Experience providing presentations and training to both field sales and leadership
  • Proficient in Salesforce reporting

Bonus, but not required (shout about it in your application if you have experience):

  • Project management 
  • Experience with Spiff sales compensation tool or similar compensation platforms
  • Experience in BI analysis tools such as Looker
