Hi, I’m Paul Heywood, Chief Revenue Officer at Puppet,

I’m looking for a Director of Sales, ANZ to join our team in Australia and become part of a rapidly growing region. We are seeking an experienced, high-energy sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced, ever changing environment where you are passionate about leading, engaging and mentoring our ANZ Sales team, and strategically partnering with different teams across the organization. You have an established personal brand and will represent Puppet as our regional spokesperson. You are in charge of customer acquisition and driving customer expansion across ANZ. You will need to have a proven record of people management experience and a strong network of relevant strategic business partners and relationships in the region. 

Meaningful work you’ll contribute

  • Lead, develop, and manage the ANZ Sales team to achieve department and organizational goals
  • Provide leadership for the ANZ Sales team including sales forecasting, territory assignments, sales coaching, talent planning, budgeting, and commission planning
  • Partner with cross functional teams - Pre-Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Product Marketing, Services and other internal organizations to establish and execute strong sales strategies and objectives
  • Drive the creation and execution of all related program materials required for successful sales enablement
  • Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by understanding market opportunities and customers needs to drive revenue growth

  • Scrappy and self-directed. You are skilled at autonomously driving projects in a startup environment with minimal guidance and limited resources while having a ton of freedom and creativity to continue moving forward. You roll up your sleeves and drive execution and results. 

Valuable experiences and skills you’ll bring to Puppet 

  • Minimum 10 years regional ANZ sales leadership experience in selling license software SaaS and professional services, with a proven record to drive double digit sales/business growth 
  • Ability to demonstrate ability to manage and coach sales reps through multi million dollar customer engagements
  • Results driven individual with a proven ability to manage sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasts, and personally developing and closing deals of significant size
  • Strong relationship and a wide professional network of contacts in the very large accounts and/or business partners in ANZ
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills
  • Frequent travel to meet regional customers and teams across APAC, and travel to US and Europe up to twice a year (post Covid-19 restrictions)
