Senior Principal Technical Marketing Manager

Puppet is looking for a Principal or Senior Principal Technical Marketing Manager to join a high-performing, fast-moving, and fun-loving team that is helping redefine how enterprises use automation to DELIVER, SECURE, and OPERATE self-serviceable, self-healing hybrid infrastructure. 

We are looking for someone who loves learning, explaining, and showing how to use hybrid and cloud-native automation to solve individual and organizational problems to accelerate delivery, reduce toil, and improve availability and performance.

You will be responsible for accelerating the technical buyer journey through content that teaches how Puppet products are used across a wide array of other tools and technologies to solve end-user problems.  You will rapidly develop a clear understanding of many different end-user tool environments and continuously generate content about where and how Puppet can meet their needs better than alternatives.

You will…

  • Deeply understand the goals, environments, practices, and technical challenges of cloud SRE, internal platform engineering, and hybrid operator personas
  • Work with Sales Engineering to continuously monitor top practitioner objections, then develop strategies, assets, tools, and enablement that accelerate objection handling and help inform our product roadmap
  • Work with Puppet users, Product Management, Sales Engineering, and Professional Services to identify and articulate use case patterns and best practices that you can amplify through your content and enablement
  • Build interactive experiences, demos, diagrams, presentations, white papers, technical briefs, and blogs that accelerate prospect understanding of Puppet’s unique strengths and problem-solving value
  • Evangelize Puppet at Puppet events, industry conferences, and with industry analysts
  • Work with Customer Advocacy to extract tangible use case practices and outcomes from customer interactions
  • Monitor and analyze competitors’ approaches across a variety of use cases and synthesize into actionable Sales messaging and external differentiation
  • Collaborate with your product marketing teammates on product launches, including messaging, technical content for product launches

  • A proactive networker and collaborator who can both enlist and provide help across functions and levels to align GTM efforts and content around your technical buyer personas

Requirements:

  • 10+ years (Director) / 7+ years (Senior Principal) in Product Marketing roles for infrastructure operations solutions including 2+ years cloud infrastructure
  • Please be prepared to share highlights from your content portfolio
