Senior Sales and Partner Operations Manager (RevOps)

Hi, I’m Megan Ross Farrell, Senior Director of Marketing and Sales Operations part of the Revenue Operations Department at Puppet.  

I am looking for a Senior Sales and Partner Operations Manager to support our global direct, channel, and alliance sales organization.  In this role you will be responsible for aligning and executing against the sales strategy via building & delivering analytics, reporting & analysis, processes creation & definition, and recommendations to dramatically accelerate performance against ambitious sales targets.

The ideal candidate has exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and is comfortable interacting with all levels at Puppet, including executive management, sales, finance, and revenue operations leaders and colleagues. You have the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks, be able to work productively in a team-oriented environment, and be comfortable with supporting a rapidly growing and changing organization. 

The successful candidate is curious and possesses a passion for innovative analysis, strategy and execution, and the wherewithal to develop findings and recommendations that transcend the numbers.

How you’ll contribute

  • Bring a solid understanding of the channel and alliance sales processes and ability to report on effectiveness.
  • Own all partner sales reporting from SFDC and other sources.  Used both for day-to-day and for QBR.  
  • Serve as channel help desk for sales teams by assisting with deal reg, discounts, and other channel questions / processes.
  • Manage partner portal operations and the deal registration program including partner setup, support, and content.
  • Maintain partner price lists.
  • Administer all channel contracts, addendums, Single Purchase Reseller agreements, and other channel legal documents.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and support the operational-side of partner communications, partner marketing events, and partner SPIF programs.
  • Manage partner payments for SPIFs and influence.  Maintaining records accordingly and working with Puppet accounting.  
  • Create and maintain partner accounts, reports, and dashboards in SFDC.
  • Ensure a high level of data integrity and align to consistent global standards and procedures within our CRM.
  • Collaborate with Alliance partner sales managers on processes to support alliance sales.   

 

Valuable experiences and skills you’ll bring to Puppet

  • 5+ years of direct sales operations experience, ideally with time spent growing sales organizations.  
  • 4+ years working with channel and alliance partner sales operations.
  • 4+ years working with Salesforce.com.  Creating reports, dashboards, and ensuring data integrity.  
  • 2+ years experience working with public cloud provider marketplaces managing transactions and deal flow: sales quotes, deal forecasting, deal interactions with public cloud providers, etc. 
  • 2+ years of experience working with internal teams to report on and analyze pricing and related data.   
  • In-depth experience with CRM (ideally SFDC) and knowledge of best practices, along with proficiency in reporting and dashboards including custom report types, filters, formula fields, dynamic dashboards and dashboard filters.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, excellent analytical and financial modeling mindset, with ability to succinctly interpret data.
  • Ability to analyze data and present findings to senior executives.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Intermediate experience using data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.).
  • Knowledge of integrating, automating, correlating, reporting AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle marketplace or similar reporting with SFDC and other tools.
  • Collaborative team player, comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholder.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, project management and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships.
  • Ability to think creatively to come up with workable solutions.
  • Experience working in the technology industry, with a strong focus on software companies, preferred but not required.
