Senior Customer Advocacy Manager

Hi, I’m Dave Wilt, Head of Product, Technical and Customer Marketing at Puppet.

I’m looking for a Senior Customer Advocacy Manager to join my team to help Puppet customers tell their stories. You have a passion for quickly building relationships with successful customers and empowering them as public advocates for the value they deliver to their organizations with Puppet, and turning their stories into sales and marketing gold. We’re working through complex challenges as we navigate an increasingly hybrid and multi-cloud world with our customers — you’ll be instrumental in defining the next phase of Puppet.

You will:

  • Generate and convert a pipeline of referenceable customers and brand advocates. You’ll work with our Sales, Product and Community teams to identify potential advocates open to sharing their expertise through references, third party reviews, industry surveys, case studies, speaking engagements, media interviews and more.
  • Create customer stories that help prospects and customers see the value of Puppet faster. You’ll uncover customer practices and outcomes that demonstrate Puppet’s unique value proposition, then help make those stories come to life for our marketing programs, sales teams, and partners.
  • Build and maintain our customer evidence repository. You’re a skilled organizer and have experience building out and owning a robust library for use by Sales and Marketing including, but not limited to, case studies, slides, quotes, and approvals. 
  • Run our global customer advisory and technical advisory programs. You’ll work with Product Management and Sales to orchestrate a quarterly cadence of Customer Advisory Board and Technical Advisory Board (CAB/TAB) meetings around the world to facilitate our most critical product and go-to-market feedback loop.
  • Broker customer conversations with Product Marketing and Demand Generation teams to test value hypotheses and messaging 
  • Collaborate on our Net Promoter program. You’ll work with our Customer Success and Sales teams on our annually occurring customer net promoter program.

Valuable experiences and skills you’ll bring to Puppet

  • Minimum 2+ years of direct experience executing customer advocacy / customer marketing programs including recruitment and case study development
  • Ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience building highly impactful advocacy programs including executive Customer Advisory Board (CAB)
  • Strong project and program management skills to align resources and reliably execute multiple programs and ongoing assignments in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Innovative thinker and creative problem solver
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with executives, both internally and externally
  • Interview, presentation and moderator skills
  • Creation of customer-related collateral to support marketing programs, launches, etc.
  • Understanding of various marketing functions/funnels
