Hi, I’m Tami Martin, Sr. Director of CS Ops, Data Analytics, and Order Management at Puppet.

I’m looking for a Sr. Manager of Data Analytics to be a key part of our Revenue Operations (RevOps) team.  As the Sr. Manager of Data Analytics, you will lead our team of data analysts and partner with our Go-To-Market teams (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) to develop and automate analytics, modeling, and insights to support revenue growth.

RevOps at Puppet consists of several teams whose collective goal is to drive business growth through operational effectiveness and cross-functional insights for our Go-To-Market teams.  The Data Analytics Team works with business stakeholders across the organization to develop analytics, insights, and recommendations to enable the business to take action and make better decisions.

You will be the primary driver of unifying business reporting at Puppet and lead our efforts to continuously improve the breadth, depth, and quality of information available to the business through Looker (our business intelligence platform) and other business systems.  You will be responsible for driving new analytics projects, maintaining and evolving existing reporting, responding to incoming data requests, and implementing data best practices and processes for consistency and scalability.

Meaningful work you’ll contribute

  • Develop effective business intelligence strategies and analytics solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover actionable business insights which guide strategic decisions and boost customer productivity and revenue.
  • Guide your team to develop clear, well documented data views and dashboards and enable partners across the business to answer their own questions with data.
  • Manage and mentor cross-functional data analysts, review their performance, and manage work capacity and priorities.
  • Identify key indicators of customer success to drive customer engagement strategies, health scores and upsell/expansion potential.
  • Oversee analytics projects to extract, manage, and analyze customer and company data from multiple applications.
  • Analyze data and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to inform Go-To-Market strategies.
  • Work with RevOps and key business stakeholders to design, maintain, and evolve key performance metric reporting and department dashboards.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand business goals, gather requirements, implement data capture and perform ad-hoc and ongoing analyses to impact business outcomes.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure data integrity and prevent discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to define and implement data governance policies and practices.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices, technology, and policies.

You are…

  • A team player. You understand the power of collaboration and build strong relationships within cross-functional teams.
  • Results-driven.  You are skilled at driving projects and achieving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You can balance multiple projects with tight timelines and prioritize appropriately to meet commitments.
  • An experienced player-coach.  You know how to balance mentoring and managing team members with rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
  • Open.  You are open-minded and actively seek out others’ opinions and ideas.  You share your opinions freely.
  • A critical thinker.  You enjoy solving complex business problems.  You are skilled at translating business stakeholders’ needs into data models, dashboards, and insights.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.  You understand that details matter and ensure your team’s work is accurate and high-quality.
  • A skilled communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate data and insights in writing, verbally and visually.

Valuable experiences and skills you’ll bring to Puppet

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics or related field or equivalent work experience.
