Sales Enablement Program Manager

Hi, I’m Helen Ivory, Senior Director of Global Knowledge Management at Puppet.

I’m looking for a Senior Principal Sales Enablement Programs Manager to join our team in providing best-in-class learning experiences for our global sales professionals and partners.

The Global Knowledge Management team is a geographically dispersed team. We partner with the global sales organization to ensure our sales teams and partners possess the skills, knowledge, and process expertise to maximize every buyer interaction. Our mandate is to modernize the sales enablement program to drive improvements in lead-to-conversion rate, sales velocity, and efficiency. You will be responsible for increasing predictable sales results by providing consistent, scalable enablement services that support sellers adding value in every customer interaction. As the Senior Principal Sales Enablement Programs Manager at Puppet, you will:

  • Develop and deliver competency-driven, role-based onboarding and continuous learning programs to foster an evolving learning culture for our global field organization.
  • Collaborate and strategize within the team and across the organization to identify learning solutions and communication plans that empower our sales professionals to have consultative sales conversations with the right set of buyers at each sales stage.
  • Establish and monitor feedback channels and perform continual evaluation and optimization of sales enablement content. 
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement programs.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of regional and global sales training events and meetings. 

Who you will be collaborating with…

  • Sales leadership, sellers, and sales engineers to gather ongoing training needs and program feedback.
  • Marketing, field marketing, and product marketing to ensure sales enablement content supports our go-to-market strategy.
  • Customer success leaders who are responsible for the customer experience.
  • Revenue operations, product teams, and other subject matter experts and key stakeholders across the organization. 
  • Internal instructional designers who create instructionally sound, engaging, and interactive sales enablement content.

What valuable experience and skills will you bring to the table?

  • At least 10 years of experience in sales enablement program development and/or sales training, to include curriculum design, content development, facilitation, and assessment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in complex network enterprise software sales (quota carrying).
  • Deep knowledge of sales methodologies such as solution selling, MEDDPICC, and Command of the Message.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of instructional methodologies, learning models, and industry design standards and best practices to develop interactive learning for a variety of delivery methods. Certifications in adult learning or instructional design a plus.
  • Project management skills, certification, or demonstrated success managing competing priorities on-time and on-budget. Proficiency using Asana, JIRA, Confluence, and Slack a plus.

Bonus, but not required (shout about it in your application if you have experience)

  • Experience with education technology such as learning management systems, sales enablement platforms, videography and video hosting services, content authoring tools, multimedia technology, and virtual delivery platforms.
  • Experience with our sales technology stack: Salesforce, SalesLoft, and Showpad.
  • Experience with our content development technology stack: Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, and GSuite.
  • Experience with Puppet or other configuration management tools.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and workflows. 
  • Windows systems administration experience, including Microsoft PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, infrastructure, and app delivery automation solutions and technologies.
