Solutions Developer - ServiceNow

at Puppet, Inc. US - Remote

We are looking for a Solutions Developer, ServiceNow to join our Customer Success Team to develop solution offerings that accelerate and enhance the adoption and consumption of Puppet technology.  You will be responsible for development and delivery of new solution offerings based on a clear understanding of our products, market needs, competitive dynamic, and our customer needs.   

At Puppet, our team is in an exciting place where we are building the next generation of solutions to solve our customer problems. Through cross-collaboration between Product and Customer Success we are building end to end solutions to expand our portfolio of offerings. You will help develop the ServiceNow Solution that bridges our products from tools to solutions and enable our customers to adopt those solutions. 

 As a Solutions Developer at Puppet, you will:

  • Develop Solutions that integrate Puppet and ServiceNow
  • Develop ServiceNow workflows on top of product generated integrations
  • Partner with our knowledge management organization to develop and deliver training and sales tools to enable Sales to recommend and position the appropriate services within all of their deals
  • Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to create best practices in Solution delivery
  • Maintain and update code for these solutions as needed

  • You can pair up with another team member to QA each other’s work and engage with the field and customers to get feedback.

What valuable experience and skills will you bring to the table?

  • Unix &/or Linux SysAdmin or DevOps background, including automation
  • Programming skills (Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.) however Ruby is preferred
  • 3+ years hands on ServiceNow development expertise
  • Strong customer relations & presentation skills - must be able to speak well in front of an audience and with customers
  • Excitement about working with the Puppet community
  • Passion for problem solving and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • The ability to work and interact in a group or team
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Technical degree (CS/IT/Eng/ITSec) or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic) 

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience with Puppet or other automation tools
  • Knowledge of data center management, systems management, and monitoring, networking & security
  • Customer facing experience or other Customer Service experience
  • Professional services experience in an open source/enterprise software company
  • Puppet Certified, a plus!
