Manager of Salesforce Administration

Hi, I’m Alison Rouse, Senior Manager of GTM Processes and Systems at Puppet.  

I am looking for a Manager of Salesforce Administration to be a key part of our Revenue Operations organization supporting our global go-to-market operations and managing our team of GTM systems administrators. 

Meaningful work you’ll contribute 

As the point person for our Salesforce org and auxiliary applications, you will lead a team while working closely with cross-functional business partners across the organization. 

You will be responsible for ongoing optimization requests of our Salesforce org by responding to and triaging tickets, gathering business requirements, developing processes based on best practices, and implementing automation to increase efficiency. 

This position requires an individual who is team-oriented and able to delegate, excited to support a fast-paced sales org, driven to produce high-quality results, and a self starter that thrives on learning and continued improvement.

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Salesforce and Marketo Admin team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal clients to ensure long-term client satisfaction
  • Approach business challenges using creative problem solving. Combine your highly analytical business acumen with your technical expertise to break down problems and build robust solutions aimed at resolving complex business challenges.
  • Foster a reputation of credibility across internal teams, ensuring quality project output
  • Create and maintain a change management / governance methodology (i.e., release cadence, sprints, or other) to ensure team focus and deadlines are met
  • Ensure all system changes meet business requirements and proper documentation is provided
  • Facilitate regular status meetings with stakeholders as needed
  • Manage stakeholder expectations as it pertains to individual team interactions
  • Provide guidance and coaching to grow the abilities of your direct reports
  • Assist in QA/testing of deliverables prepared by the team before sharing with end-users
  • Multi-task and practice excellent time management while managing direct reports
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce releases, best practices, and new technology that will support the growth and objectives of the team and business stakeholders

Valuable experiences and skills you’ll bring to Puppet

  • 6+ years of direct Salesforce admin experience
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with Salesforce CPQ
  • 1-3 years leadership and mentoring experience
  • Working knowledge of Apex and Visualforce.  Ability to work alongside developers to improve and troubleshoot code.
  • Experience integrating and configuring Salesforce 3rd party integrations
  • Proven experience leading teams on time-sensitive projects including development, data migration, integration, and change management
  • Experience collaborating closely with stakeholders across an organization, aligning and prioritizing a multitude of business needs within a consolidated strategy
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, flexibility, multitasking abilities, and a strong attention-to-detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.), Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and internet-based tools required
  • Experience with intranets and organizing internal documentation
  • Thorough understanding of B2B software go-to-market motions
  • Ability to excel in a team-oriented atmosphere

Bonus, but not required (shout about it in your application if you have experience):  

  • Experience working in Lightning, specifically in transitioning from Classic
  • Broad experience working with Executives, Marketing, Sales, Support, and Finance users and understanding their diverse needs
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification 
  • 1-3 years of management experience

  • BA or BS degree
