We're packing our bags for an exciting trip to scenic Santa Clara. Velocity 2014 starts this week! Come visit us at Booth No. 411 for great conversations, demos, t-shirts, and snazzy knit beer koozies.

The schedule is phenomenal, but if there's one super-awesome, data-driven talk not to miss, it's this one on Thursday: DevOps Means Business at 1:15 pm Thursday, held in the Grand Ballroom GH.

Gene Kim, Jez Humble, Nigel Kersten, and Nicole Forsgren Velasquez dive deep into analysis of the December 2013 DevOps survey that's the basis of the 2014 State of DevOps report. With over 9,200 technical professionals contributing information about their IT practices, organizational performance, and organizational culture, the findings are robust:

  • Companies with high-performing IT organizations are twice as likely to exceed their profitability, market share and productivity goals.
  • Both IT performance and organizational performance are strongly predicted by company culture.

In this talk, you'll learn about the methodology of the survey and analysis, what the findings mean, and connections that surprised the speakers. You'll also get recommendations for bringing DevOps practices and benefits to your organization.

DevOps Days

We'll be sticking around to talk during DevOps days at the computer museum. Stop by the table to chat (and grab some swag)! We're pretty jazzed about the sessions.
