Portland provides the perfect backdrop for this year’s Puppetize PDX

You probably know that the Puppetize PDX schedule is jam packed with great speakers excited to share their expertise — so today, we also wanted to call out the unsung hero of Puppetize PDX: the city of Portland itself. Portland (or PDX as it’s affectionately referred to by many locals) has something special to offer almost any visitor.

Watch this video highlighting the best things to see, eat, and drink within walking distance of Puppetize PDX! (The full list of places is detailed further down.)

Are you a runner? An aspiring runner? Join our Portland Marathon team, #TeamBolt!

The all-new Portland half/full Marathon is the Sunday prior to Puppetize PDX, 6 October.

@binford2k started a virtual training plan for both the half and full marathon and invites you to join him! You don't need to be an extreme athlete because you can run at your pace (or even walk if you prefer). Whether you're trudging along at 18 minutes per mile or cranking out a 10 minute pace, you're still awesome and we want you on our team. Of course, please, check with your doctor first, if you've got any concerns.

P.S. We've even got a sweet running tee for Puppetize PDX attendees who run with #TeamBolt.

To make it easier to plan your trip, here are all the places featured in the video.

We’ve also plotted the places on this handy map.
